Pru's Potions and Poisons Alchemy Shop Omnibus Edition

Pru's Potions and Poisons Alchemy Shop Omnibus Edition

Pru’s Potions and Poisons Alchemy Shop is designed to be a drop-in setting for any ttrpg city or town. It is a place for your adventurers to shop for vital supplies, both mundane and magical, interact with interesting people (and perhaps even Paulie the Poltergeist), and discover interesting rumors swirling around the shop, city, and about alchemical mysteries in your game world.

This volume shares the interesting history of the building and grounds where Pru built her shop. The descriptions offer enough important details about Pru, her family, workers, customers, and suppliers to role-play them engagingly and effectively. It also includes the history of Paulie both in life and as a poltergeist, a complete description of the shop and its various rooms and labs, and many rumors that can be spun into amusing diversions to grand adventures for your band of intrepid explorers.

The book also contains several useful lists to flesh out the shop even more and give you many options to use in your game. They include:

  • A list of alchemical supplies and equipment that could be found in an alchemy shop – both in use or for sale to all the budding alchemists looking for gear
  • Twenty unique alchemy-themed magic items Pru uses in her business. Alchemy is a dangerous and exacting business. These magic items make the work safer and easier and might pique a character’s acquisitive nature.
  • Detailed tables of base ingredients, including animal, vegetable, and mineral. The list makes a great supply list of things to sell your players trying to create healing and other types of concoctions when they don’t want to forage for their ingredients.
  • D100 table of alchemical mishaps & failures. Mistakes happen, ingredients have the wrong potency, and the phase of the moon could be wrong. This list offers the game master all sorts of interesting quirks and twists that can be added to potions, ointments, powers, and other alchemical creations due to small errors in their creation.
  • Twenty-five alchemist-related quest hooks and side quests. Ferment some creative quest ideas with these hooks – whether collecting ingredients from dangerous places, recovering an ancient artifact, or even transporting potions that could go boom, you are bound to find something to fire up your character’s sense of adventure and reward.
  • Pru’s Philters of Peculiar Potions, a D100 list of curious and unusual potions.
  • Pru’s Concoctions: Ointments, Lotions, Powders, and Other Consumables, a D100 list of odd formulations in alchemy shops.
  • Pru’s Phials of Perilous Potions, a D100 list of common and nasty poisons used by rogues, assassins, and others.

Dig in and drop a robust alchemy shop and its many possibilities onto your adventurers the next time they wander into town.
